Ifraj Zanzibar Foundation makes a concerted effort to work alongside people of Zanzibar and Pemba, by placing great emphasis on community based organizing. We believe that change will only be productive and fruitful with the will of the people.

As such, Ifraj Zanzibar Foundation interacts and builds active relationships with people of all walks of life across the Islands. Our philosophy is to build deep relationships of cooperation and trust with the communities, to understand their needs and plan projects that directly respond to these needs.

Ifraj Zanzibar Foundation is founded upon a value-based system of care. We look to embolden these communities, to create sustainable livelihoods, live dignified lives, and work on long-term solutions.
